Visual Storytelling

A session bringing together artists and those interested in the creative field on the topic of “visual narrative,” moderated by artist Munir Al-Warfali, explored the role of narrative in shaping a work of art and how an image can become a space that conveys a story and meaning.

The session discussed the importance of linking visual elements with narrative, as well as ways to draw inspiration for ideas and stories from the details of daily life and the world around us, alongside an exchange of experiences and perspectives on the creative process.

Participants in the session included Khaled Nahar, a writer, comic artist, and graphic designer from Jordan, and Ramez Ragab, a graphic designer and visual artist from Egypt, who enriched the discussion with their experiences in the fields of visual art and comics.

This session is part of Hessa Sadiqa’s efforts to create spaces that bring together artists and cultural practitioners, fostering dialogue and the exchange of knowledge, thereby supporting the art scene and building new creative connections.
