About the album

This work discusses and analyzes the historical narrative and artistic landscape of the city of Benghazi by posing questions about the reasons behind the fluctuations in the music scene and reviewing pivotal historical milestones in the city’s history, beginning with the Greek era, through the ancestors’ struggle against colonialism and the period of independence, to the “Forty Years” era, and then the emergence of the “New Generation” with the events of February 2011 and the subsequent events of 2014, which marked a turning point in the history of Benghazi.

The work seeks to examine how the city has adapted to successive historical transformations and events and how this has been reflected in Libyan art and artists, from the perspective of an artist influenced by hip-hop culture and the technique of “sampling.” Through this artistic fusion, he has sought to explore new musical dimensions inspired by Libyan culture.
